Contingency Plan

Contingency Plan
Name: Lucy, Arafat, Artiola and Gabriele

Production: Gala Moan Productions

Potential problems and how to overcome these problems:

If someone is sick- and we need him or her then we will have to shoot another scene that they are not needed in.

If we are told that we are not allowed to shoot in a certain location then we will change the scenario of the scene to fit another location.

If our equipment gets damaged by accident, then we will inform a teacher straight away in order to replace the camera and to avoid future confusion.

    Different methods of editing

Fades; this is gradually fading or darkening the image till it becomes a white or black on screen.

Straight Cut; this moves shots instantaneously to the next shot, it is the most common and invisble form of transition.

Dissolve; it is when an image gets faded from one screen shot into another whilst the other one is fading in, this allows the audience to see both shots on screen.

Wipes; is when one image is pushed off screen by another wipe and images are usually pushed off the left hand side and this movement is more consistent with the sense of time moving forward.

    Continuity of editing

Continuity of editing is very important to do it is to make sure your film shots and its features are kept the same throughout i.e if you film and a character has long hair then after a while/break from filming the character decides to cut their hair this would be discontinuity editing.
